Margaret Needham home

New Zealand born, Margaret Needham has variously been a secondary school teacher, counsellor, psychotherapist, radio and TV co-host. After her family left home, she and her husband relocated to a lifestyle block north of Auckland. Here the opportunity to paint presented itself. Surrounded by farm animals, hills, bush and streams, Margaret is able to explore in paint the delights of a natural environment and her fascination with the quality of NZ light. Rural life and beaches are currently the inspirations for her work.

She has paintings currently exhibited in Off the Beach Gallery, Maraetai and Arts Desire Gallery,Warkworth. Her paintings have sold at Art in the Woolshed, Tawharanui, and at exhibitions in Rodney. Other exhibitions are planned. There are also several paintings found in private collections in NZ and England. Commissions are welcomed. Contact the artist at
